Advancing additive manufacturing requires more than innovative ideas. It requires access to the right materials, technical expertise, and reliable manufacturing resources.
The Lattice academic program was created to help universities and research laboratories accelerate their work through preferential material access, engineering support, affordable print testing, and opportunities for research recognition.
Together, we aim to bridge the gap between material development and academic innovation, enabling researchers to focus on what matters most: creating the next generation of additive manufacturing technologies.
Universities and research laboratories are eligible for a base 5% academic discount* on our filament range for research and educational use.
*Additional pricing advantages may be available for projects involving recurring material needs, volume commitments, or long-term collaboration agreements. Eligibility depends on project scope, requested quantities, and current production capacity.
As part of our product development efforts, academic partners may be offered early access to selected filament formulations before their commercial release.
These materials will be provided at preferential rates, allowing research teams to explore new material opportunities while contributing valuable feedback from real-world research environments. Insights related to printability, processing conditions, and application-specific performance help support the continuous improvement of our materials.
Special offers*: Partners can have acess to lower quantities/special R&D grade proposed at a preferential prices on the first come first save basis.
*These special offers are, by definition, limited: they consist of end-of-batch quantities below our standard MOQ, or material that did not pass our quality control specifications. This allows us to offer them at an attractive price — however, it does not establish a new standard in terms of pricing or MOQ
Academic partners can leverage the expertise of our materials engineers and in-house testing capabilities to accelerate their research activities.
Beyond technical guidance on material selection, print parameter optimization, and troubleshooting, members of the Lattice Academic Program may also benefit from affordable print testing services performed by our engineering team.
Once per year, research teams may request the fabrication of a small demonstration part (up to 2 g) to evaluate the printability and processability of a selected material before starting their own experimental work. This service is intended to support early-stage feasibility assessments and printing parameter validation.
Members can also request once per year a sample (5-10g) of one material for testing on their own.
Our objective is to help researchers reduce development time, improve experimental reliability, and focus on generating meaningful research outcomes.
At Lattice Services, we believe that innovative research deserves to be shared.
Through the Lattice Research Spotlight, we select up to one outstanding research project for each of our material categories to showcase through a dedicated case study published on our website.
Selected research teams will have the opportunity to share their work, including their research objectives, methodology, results and insights into the use of Lattice Services materials. These case studies will highlight innovative applications of additive manufacturing and help inspire the next generation of research in biomaterials and tissue engineering.
As a token of our appreciation, selected research teams will receive an exclusive 15% discount on their future purchases through Lattice Services, valid for 12 months from the date their case study is approved for publication.

Our engineering team evaluates feasibility and material fit.
Every research project is unique. After reviewing your application, our team will contact you to discuss your project, confirm your eligibility, and tailor the support we can provide through the Lattice Academic Program.
To align with international academic standards, we are committed to maintaining full research independence and transparency throughout all collaborations. Support provided through this program is intended exclusively for academic and research purposes, and Lattice Services does not influence research methodologies, results, or scientific conclusions. Any material, technical, or financial support received through the program should be disclosed in publications, presentations, and other research outputs in accordance with applicable university, institutional, and journal guidelines.

Some research projects evolve into real-world applications!
When the time comes to scale production, validate manufacturing processes, or prepare for commercialization and indistrualization, Lattice Services can continue supporting your journey through our CDMO services.
LATTICE SERVICES is, above all, a team of determined and passionate multidisciplinary experts who apply their expertise to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Our diverse experiences and backgrounds have enabled us to develop a keen ability to listen, allowing us to turn every future project into a tangible product.
